A few notes on this adventure....
Our Honeymoon!
We used Ventimiglia as our base to take a train into Monaco ~ 20 minutes away.
The hotel rooms were considerably less expensive than Monaco and it gave us a chance
to explore this charming town and go shopping at their famous Friday market!
This was my 1st introduction to the phrase...TUTTO 1 EURO!!
My scarf collection grew that day!
Santa Margherita Ligure was used as a base for day trips to Portofino, Genoa and Cinque Terre. This area of Italy is the birthplace of Pesto and Foccacia, culinary heaven!
No where in the world can it compare to here!
Florence was used as a base for day trips to Pisa, Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra, and San Marino.
We hired a driver for 1 day to San Gimignano and Volterra and another day for San Marino
His name is Simon and he is based in Florence. He will do tours for cruise ship passengers!
We can't recommend him enough, his picture is in our welcome album on the homepage. You can reach him through TuscanTravellers.
Harry's Bar in Venice...for the 2nd year we returned for a Bellini,
